Meet the Host

Nicole Phoenix is an up-and-coming performer who has made a home for herself on the Philadelphia comedy scene. She performs regularly at Punchline Philly and Helium Comedy Club and has appeared on some of the hottest live touring shows to visit Philadelphia including Las Culturistas: I Don't Think So Honey hosted by Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang and The New Negroes with Baron Vaughn and Open Mic Eagle. 

In 2019, Nicole produced the Mad Ethnic Comedy Festival. This three-day event was the very first of its kind to highlight the best of standup comedy, sketch improv, musical comedy, and storytelling from POC in the Philadelphia area. 

For the past four years, she has hosted and produced The Comments Section: Standup & Storytelling; a highly curated comedy variety show dedicated to putting the amazing talents of Black women on center stage.
