Multimedia Producer, Chief Storyteller

Jos Duncan is a multimedia producer, professional storyteller, and social entrepreneur with over fifteen years of experience collaboratively creating and documenting community-centered narratives. She is the founder of Love Now Media, an empathy-centered media company that uses storytelling to advocate for social justice and wellness, now.

Jos’ professional career began in Information Technology as a software engineer. In 2001, she took a leap into the world of arts and entertainment and spent several years working as a theater artist performing as a dancer, singer, and storyteller.  Today, she pulls from both, the creative and the formulaic, to reach for innovation while building narratives and ecosystems.

Jos holds an MFA in Media and Communications (City College of New York), a BBA in Business with a concentration in Information Technology (Temple University, Fox), and an Associates of Science in Computer Programming. While at CCNY, she was invited to Escuela International Cine Y Television (EICTV) in Cuba as the Producer for USA, with filmmakers from 8 countries for a 6-part global documentary series, Ser Un Ser Humano. The series has screened in countries world-wide and is referenced as a model for using documentary film for the development of cultures and communication.

She has received recognition for her artistic work through awards and fellowships from the American Folklore Society, New York Women in Film and Television (NYWIFT), Colin Powell Center for Public Policy, PA Council on the Arts, the Leeway Foundation, Chicken & Egg Pictures and Sundance Institute’s Screenwriting Intensive in Philadelphia and Park City, Utah.
